as of late....always under the influence: faxed head, dizzee rascal, melvins, brainiac, m.i.a., zip code rapists, stump, stump, STUMP!, celebrity skin, khanate (i'm bullshitting there), really crappy mainstream R n B singles (female vocalists exclusively), grand buffet, mr bungle, some punk rock, aphex twin, devo, sleepytime gorilla museum, dickies, anthrax, metallica, slayer and metal in general..that being heavy, speed, grind, death, etc.... tom sawyer by rush, keyboards that make juicy deep dirty sounds and squiggly noises...white noise (the album, not the sound) oingo boingo and a little glass by the side of the road. and passe partout. and we are influenced by our lack of band members and we are influenced by our lack of ideas. but sometimes we have them and then, there is a song.
WE'RE GETTING BIGGER BY THE
MINUTE (???)
Daiquiri has toured with Faxed Head, Neil Hamburger, The Tuna
Helpers, Mindless Self Indulgence, Mong Hang, Techma!, and Tub Ring.
We've also played shows with Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Les Georges
Leningrad, Andrew WK, BJ Snowden, Dynamite Club, Isis, Rye Coalition,
Quintron and Miss Pussycat, Bobby Conn, The Zip Code Rapists, and The
Bon Larvis Band. That's why you should be interested in them - because
they have tons of names that they can and do drop
readily.

I just realized... You guys remind me a LOT of The Residents. I'm not sure if I told you before. If I did, oh well. I'm telling you again. It's weird. You're weird. But ily <3
Also, COME TO THE GREAT SOUTHWESTERN USA. WE HAVE CACTI. No? :( It was worth a shot.
I'm not sure if it's news, but I've been waiting for I Don't Want to be a Statue since I heard it on the second installment of that college radio fuckery thing.
my dearest daiquiri, i am still madly in love with you. thanks for posting a new song. flower-shaped num-nums is so goddamn overdue i cant even fathom my own imploded disappointment, so it would probably be best if you did so for me. did you ever do a studio version (or other good recording) of 'i dont want to be a statue'? i love that so very much. anyways, i'll just keep listening to your first 3 albums, and the last chicago show that you did which i so fiendishly taped for my endlessly repeated enjoyment. please make more awesome. <3 j
