    Fall 2010 sees the release of the debut album from Cavan born Daire O’Reilly (pronounced DaaRaa). ‘The Promised Land’ looks to be one of the most anticipated Irish debuts of the year. .... Having cut his teeth playing in various bands, O’Reilly marks the transformation to a solo act with a mature, confident record, showing a truthful, honest artist, comfortable in his own skin..... Calling on influences from the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earle and Nirvana, O’Reilly’s music has been described as “infectious, melodic and toe tappingly good”. Daire’s lyrics and melodies combine to win the listeners ear and giving us music relevant for the times we live in..... The multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter has already opened for chart topping acts including Goo Goo Dolls, The Script and Shane McGowan..... Daire is an accomplished musician who plays saxophone, guitar and keyboard amongst other instruments. He has studied music all his life and holds a BA in Music, H Dip in Education, MA in Music Technology and is currently studying towards a BA in Jazz Performance..... O’Reilly’s ‘When The Guilty Panic’ EP was released in 2009 and received extensive airplay in Ireland and the live favorite ’Sleeping In’ became an instant hit on Irish College Radio..... Produced By Karl Odlum (The Frames),the EP earned O’Reilly nationwide exposure, leading to a six month long series of gigs around Ireland..... As well as opening for International acts, touring with some of Ireland’s premier rock bands including ‘The Blizzards’, ’The Stunning’ ‘The Aftermath’ helped O’Reilly cement a grass roots level fanbase in Ireland..... O’Reilly is now putting the finishing touches to his debut album ‘The Promised Land’ which is due to be released in September 2010. O’Reilly is working with Ger McDonnell on the album, whose previous credits include U2, Dido and Def Leppard..... Prior to that he is spending the summer months in the US, with promotional appearances and gigs planned throughout the Tri-state area and along the East Coast....
