D’Airessang
- Sounding space. The space of sound-
D’Airessang is an internacional musical improvisation- project.
Musicians and artists from various countries met in a room Buenos Aires, Argentina in November 2007 and began to play and tell stories. Musical traditions from different corners of the world communicated. A new kind of folklore began to find its form: A folklore of the city, of the streets, of the buildings, of the rooms, of the ceilings, of the walls, of the floors and of the people present in the room, in the here and now, in the never-ending game of improvisation. Instruments such as the jaw-harp, the berimbau and didjeridoo communicate with electronic music, joik and tango. New rythms and melodies continually arise and give material for continuous play and never-ending narration.
Spacial Moments was the very first performance given by D’Airessang in Buenos Aires, Argentina 2008. The director, Caroline Bakke received a grant from the Arts Council Norway and from the Norwegian Embassy in Buenos Aires to realize the project. D’Airessang continue their work and will perform both in Argentina, Brasil, Norway and Spain.
