Daisy Chapman's songs weigh heavy with a haunting beauty and romantic intensity. With
a voice that ranges from a whisper to a "herculean howl" and alone on stage with a piano
and loop station, this is a live set not to be missed. Brand new album The Green Eyed
explores the notion of jealousy - a vice none can avoid and few crave. With the addition
of a string quartet, percussion and a host of Daisy's vocal harmonies, this album boasts
an uplifting and heart warming timbre.
Daisy's music is well travelled. Germany has welcomed her across the channel countless
times, not to mention a brief Californian tour where Daisy graced the corners of coffee
houses up and down the Highway 1. Closer to home, Daisy has performed at festivals, both
indoors and out, is a household name in her home town of Bristol in the South West and
can also be spotted on stage with her band Scarlatti Tilt, and as the pianist in
Invada Records' Crippled Black Phoenix
Hi Daisy, finally got round to checking your stuff. Really enjoyed the voice and melodies, very mellow music. I will forgive you the 1000th cover of Hallelujah, haha (which btw is very enjoyable, and it would have been even more if it hadn't already been covered 763 times the last few years).
Oh if you have time check out my other 'project' Ereipia, it's also piano and voice but in a very different sort of way: www.myspace.com/ereipia The singer Andy sang in the first CBP album as well.
Hey Daisy, loving the new album, sounds great. Also the album launch show at the Folkhouse was awesome, hope you enjoyed playing there. Good luck at the Prom tonight, I can't make it unfortunately but will be at St Georges in December :-)
Welcome Daisy ! Thank you very much for the add ! I enjoyed to listen to your so beautiful voice and music ! Wishing you all of the best about inspiration and your projects . Greetings from Italy . Alex .
Cool Songs and Whispers video branding there, and big up to the Amigo Music massive. Love to all in Bremen, and enjoy the Chapman/Scarlatti continental quilt of a tour.
