Siân started gigging in 2004, when she reached the semi-final of the BBC Talent search on her third gig. Things went swimmingly a few more times, then a bad gig put her off doing anything comedy for about 6 months. After that, she continued in a rather half-arsed manner until she realised actually writing material she liked, making an effort and occasionally brushing her hair all helped matters a lot.
This next bit will be updated soon. Basically, it's all going grand. A man in a sandwich shop recognised me yesterday - I am officially famous.
If you’d like to book or stalk Siân, please just get in touch
Apart from a wee goff fetish (very small, but I do like bands like Cruxshadows and VNV Nation) I'm pretty middle of the old road. I adore the Cure, Billie Holiday, Peggy Lee, Take That, Edith Piaf, Type O Negative, Kylie (natch), Bonnie Tyler, Marilyn Manson (sorry), The Feeling, The Fratellis, Rolling Stones, Queen, My Chemical Romance, Moloko, Ooberman, PUSA, That Chinese Music They Play in Restaurants, Placebo, Radiohead, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and anything that's lovely.
Movies
I'm not the sort of person to list every film I like, we'd be here all day and I don't believe that you care. My all time favourite films alternate between Brief Encounter, U-Turn, Gone With The Wind and Aladdin. And loads of others. Just imagine I wrote lots of clever films and you were dead impressed.
Television
Got one. Watch it a bit. I have a weakness for Emmerdale but I only indulge occasionally. That Ugly Betty thing that's on at the moment's quite funny. Nothing I'd ever stay in to watch or bother recording.
Books
Reading is good. If you don't do it, I don't care what you say, there will be a part of your life always missing, you'll be less articulate and you'll be a bit thicker.
Some of my favourites: The Unbearable Lightness of Being, 100 Years of Solitude, Midnight's Children, The Secret Garden, Trainspotting, Charlottes Web and Wuthering Heights.
What this says about me: I'm a pretentious, daydreamer trying to be multi-cultural, in touch with my inner-child, who likes violence, animals and dreams of a passionate, unhealthy, moor-bound love affair.
Heroes
Debbie Harry, Linda Smith, Joan Rivers, Bill Hicks, Michael Palin (and all the Monty Python-ers), Eddie Izzard, Dylan Moran, Ghandi, Kate Winslet, Cate Blanchett, Lady Mary Wortley Montague (bit obscure, but look her up, she was amazing) and my mum.

Two months Sian! your last blog was at the beginning of November, there were promises of photos and film, implications of the torment of working retail just before Christmas, the joy of that first pay cheque and the insights of your own holidays. Then nothing, it all stopped without warning. Which leaves me to think that either Scotland has sunk into the North Sea taking you with it, or giant mutant cockroaches have trapped you in your room without a laptop. Until you escape (or swim to Norway) I'll just have to listen to your lovely pocasts over and over again. X
No need to thank me, babe... I should thank you some more for posting that! I really enjoyed listening to it! In a weird way it seemed strangely apt for my life just now! lol. Me likes lots *bounces in anticipation for the next story*
Silly Sian! You need to change your body type, your definatly not more to love. Either you do this or I start sending you badly spelt messages with incorrect punctuation that you cant change x
Ooh meant to say thanks for the addage ages ago, hope its going well and may well bump into you at Edinburgh as my blokey is also playing at the football club bar. x
I'm back baby, back! Well back on myspace that is, I have just dedicated that past 30 minutes and 45 Yemenese Rial to catching up on your blog. Fabulous. I'll be back in physical reality in Edinburgh at the beginning of August. Catch ya then. XXX R.
Forget gymnastic classes, I used to jog the 6 miles to college then do a 2 hour warm up workout at college before I started the day, look how I turned out.
Hi got an auto email saying they were now booked until September, so plenty of time to forget about it then panic when I get the email saying I'm on the week after.
