About me: I am a pekingese dog who was rescued from certain death in May 2006. My first mommy abandoned me and several of my friends in a trailer where some people found us. Some of us had died, but I was one of the ones who had lived.
My friends and I were taken to the local pound where some of us were going to be put down, but a really nice lady got us out instead. She took us to the doctor and gave us baths and made sure we got new homes with nice people.
I was the last to be adopted, but my new mommy and daddy were really nice to me. Daddy got me a new toy the next day, the first of my life, and it is still one of my favorites.
In August of 2007, my second mommy abandoned me, too. She just left me and the rest of my pack. That caused me to withdraw from my daddy quite a bit. I rebelled quite a bit by going potty wherever I wanted and running away, even losing control of bodily functions when daddy tried to pick me up or bathe me.
Eventually, in December of 2007, my daddy found me a new mommy. I am very attached to her and my new best friend, Slime Dog. Slimy was abandoned, too. Daddy brought him home in January of 2008 and we instantly became best friends. Even though he is part Pit Bull and a lot bigger than I am, we play a lot. Sometimes he is a bit rough, but we have a lot of fun. I play, bark, smile, and have been affectionate again. I have never been so happy as I am now with my new mommy and pal, Slime Dog.
