   About Dakini
Dakini is a four-piece original band from Hegins, PA. They create a flowing musical experience that is truly unlike anything else. With influences from all genres of music, Dakini is pure rock ’n’ roll with a driving energy that can satisfy any and all who come to experience a show.

Together for eight years with three full-length studio albums, one live album & thousands of bootleg recordings, Dakini has established themselves as one of Pennsylvania’s most original, exciting, diverse, ever-changing improvisational bands.

Electric sets are most dominant at a Dakini show, but they are willing and very much at home acoustically, bringing on an array of stringed and percussive instruments.

Each member brings different songs, emotions, energies & grooves to the mix. Rock ’n’ roll to country, bluegrass to funk, jazz numbers to swirling, trickling movements & chaotic, ground-thundering space & trance. A night of Dakini is a passage through various musical styles, eras, generations & unknown conglomerates of musical expression.

Dakini has performed alongside numerous local & national groups including The Jerry Garcia Band, Dickey Betts & Great Southern (of the Allman Brothers Band), Derek Trucks Band, Jazz Mandolin Project, Bernie Worrel (former keyboardist for George Clinton), Ulu, Zen Tricksters, Max Creek, Sister Carol (Grammy-nominated Reggae artist), The Dude of Life (Phish lyricist), The Breakfast, The Recipe, George Wesley, U-Melt, Brother’s Past, Soulive, The Slip, Benevento/Russo Duo, Kaki King, Raq & many others.

Dakini plays clubs, festivals and countless celebrations in Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas and will be spreading out across the United States very soon. Dakini hosts their own music festival (Dakinifest) and travels with their own sound system, light show, van & dedicated crew to ensure each and every performance.

Dakini is a family of artists, fans & friends that encourage all forms of creative artistic expression. Dakini will continue to expand their musical adventure to help heal, energize & enlighten with music and the power of sound.

Hey guys! I got to chill with Bill, Hope, Carissa, Nate, cutie pie Jackie, and Todd in AC! The only thing missing there was you guys!!!!! Then, I heard a rumor that Penn's Peak may feature a band in the lot with an old buddy I dearly missed. Is it you? It is creating quite a buzz....I want to make it, not sure how far it is, this job thing is cutting into my life. If I don't see you then I will at Bear's, wish Shane the best! CD is AWESOME!
