Dakota Studio Update
Let's chat!
IM: hot dakota love
It all started in 2004, on a farm in a rural town of Massachusetts. No, I’m serious. The house on the farm, along with all the land and animals, belonged to a friend who was no longer living in it. Let’s leave it at that. In this abandoned farm house on one cool spring night, a party took place. Five local band veterans agreed to assemble and create Dakota. The weekend following this gathering, it began and has yet to cease. Since then, the group has been fortunate enough to record with Casey Crescenzo, mastermind of the Boston band The Dear Hunter.
Dakota’s sound is resulted from the blended influences of each member, creating a colorful pool of harmony, melody and energy. There are no boundaries when writing their songs and there’s no limit to how far they will go. An idea that once started in a rural farm house, has now blossomed into the harmonious sound of Dakota.
