GeneralI love to Read. I'm always immersed in a book as well as magazines (Sports Illustrated, Harvard Business Review, Readers Digest, Time, People, Training Magazine and US News & World Report) and papers. Running, Biking (There is nothing better than careening down a trail in the woods and jumping rocks and trees on a Mountain Bike during the summer in Connecticut) and working out. My favorite time of day is hanging out with my son who is 5 years old. He's the joy of my life!
MusicI have an eclectic taste in music. On my MP3 player I have a mix of Old Rock (Steely Dan, Led Zepplin, The Doors), 80's music (Cindy Lauper has a great accoustic CD of her hits), Rap (Will Smith to 50 cent), easy listening (Billy Joel and Neil Diamond come to mind), Raggae (Love Bob Marley)and hard rock (Kid Rock is great when I'm biking or working out!) It all depends on the mood!
BooksI'm a big fan of reading and constantly have 2-3 books going at any given time. Typically I read something fictional, some type of self development and a business book to help my company become more successful.

About me:
Hi, my name is Bob Dickson and I'm the President and Franchise owner of Dale Carnegie Training of Western CT. I took the Dale Carnegie Course in Effective Communications and Human Relations back in 1997 when I was trying to get promoted into a sales position. I remember vividly the day I interviewed with the Regional VP of Sales and being told that they were hiring someone else because he was more polished. This stung as I always considered myself to be an achiever and great with people. But I had a plan and knew this was just a temporary setback. I started looking around for ways to get that 'polish' so the next time I had an opportunity to interview I would get the job. Many roads led me to Dale Carnegie Training so I called up and enrolled. It was the best thing I ever did for my Career and Life! After taking the 12 week program it became easier to devlop relationships, win people to my way of thinking and reduce unwanted stress. The biggest bonus was that I had an increased confidence to work with authority figures at work, which I had come to find out was holding me back. When I had a chance to work for Dale Carnegie Training I jumped on it. I couldn't have done it without first taking the program though. It was one of the best decisions of my life. Over 8 million people around the world have taken a Dale Carnegie Program and many are influential leaders we all know. If you'd like to learn more about me and our programs go to our website at : Dale Carnegie Western CT Website . I promise (Really Guarantee YOU!) that it will be the first step to creating a new and highly successful future for yourself!

I'm constantly striving to meet people that want to change their own circumstances and that's why I got involved with Dale Carnegie Training. We talk about changing lives of people professionaly and personally so they have a unique balance and can enjoy what the world around them has to offer. The world is filled with a group of unique individuals that all have their own agendas. This makes building relationships and getting along with others a critical skill to achieve greatness. Dale Carnegie has been connecting people and helping to develop positive relationships for just about 100 years. The people that are proactive towards a positive personal vision come to our programs to build skills that will last a lifetime and help them achieve their goals! This is what I mean when I say that I'd like to meet people that have a desire to change their own circumstances, get out of their comfort zone and become what they truly know they are!
