About me:

I'd like to think I can write something deep & profound here but I'm not holding my breath! Let's see.... I want the world & I'll work at a pretty mediocre rate to get it! Go me! Yeah! No I actually prefer to be working under pressure, but if you let me slack off I'm sure as hell going to do so. I'm a rotten friend who never puts in enough time or effort but thankfully my good looks keep them all coming back for more! ;) I'll pretty much talk to anyone who starts a conversation with me even if I don't know them, but will rarely start one myself as I'm a deadset gutless wonder! Plus if it's in racing circles, I may brush you as I don't want to look like a nomex chaser so please excuse my rudeness that being the potential case.

A friend of mine (yes you Mr Informed!) tells me I live in a fantasy land whilst he lives in reality! That being the case I do think everything will turn out for the best, everyone does have nice in them somewhere, happy endings do exist and the vast majority of people can be trusted. There are just a few too many Darth Vader's out there needing to come back from the dark side! Yes I know, a lesson I may learn the hard way but atleast I'm always looking forward to something right!?!? Agree with me or the darkness wins damn it!! ;)

I love good manners, niceties on the road and no spitting for God's sake people!!! All of which I struggle to find in my lovely suburb of Auburn (Auburnon!). I can easily waffle on about anything in the world and will write ridiculous blogs, emails, messages & sms' to annoy all my friends. I do love good punctuation & grammar at the best of times yet won't inflict that pain on anyone else I promise... BUT I do get easily annoyed by people who use the word 'ain't'. Grrrr it infuriates me!!! Don't use it unless you want me to punch you in the baby maker!

Which in an impressive segue brings me to this important fact... Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention! I've just been handed an urgent and horrifying news story. I need all of you to stop what you're doing and listen... Cannonball! Yes, I use movie quotes all the time! Get used to it. Most of them are comedies, racing movies or bad musicals but the list continues to grow! I'm a movie buff, especially the historical stuff that I grew up on... All the heavy flicks that formed Alison as we know it... You know... Better Off Dead, The Goonies, Weird Science, 16 Candles! Haha! Plus all the rest I've welcomed over the years - read my list on the left of this page or we'll be here for days!

My music taste is extremely eclectic. Stick around on this page for a while & you'll hear it first-hand. Yes Slim Dusty does mix with Kid Rock, Garth Brooks with AC/DC, and Keith Urban (shoosh Picko!) with the Chili Peppers! Enjoy & pretend you don't WANT to sing along to Ice Ice Baby! I'm nervous to be handed a microphone knowing in advance that a speech is required, but if you surprise me with one I won't shut up and you may have to pry the thing out of my cold, dead hands.

I eat a hell of alot of rubbish food but I also play netball three times a week in hopeful belief it all offsets somehow! I've become addicted to Starbucks frappuchino's (I'm so.. like.. so Britney!) & am very upset so many stores have closed in Sydney city as I'll have to walk a number of blocks for my 'hit' at work... Grrrr!

I don't smoke; never tried, never will. Zero interest. I rarely drink (or will only have a couple) & have only had a few BIG nights in my life which hurt waaaaay too much the next day to consider doing it all again & again. The last one was the night of my 30th birthday! The next big event is planned for September 13-15th of 2013. It's my 35th birthday, coinciding with my race car number. It is sure to involve carnie folk the way it's headed. Set that weekend aside one & all. Roll up! Roll up!

Car number you ask? Yeah we'll see! Scared much?! Ahhh yes!! It's almost go time... Or slow time most likely the case. Midget/Speedcar racing is a large part of my life & it's how I have so many fantastic friends from throughout Australia, the US & En-Zed! You'll find me at PCR or on the road with the SSS easily enough.

I have a very uncomfortably titled 'Bucket' list which I've renamed '7,000 Things to do Before I Die'. It's blogged if you want to see how I'm progressing. Some are challenging; some just plain stupid. Feel free to add any suggestions.
