I am jazz saxophonist, composer and record label owner living in Altadena, CA. My passion is writing and composing for my quartet that has been together now for 15 years. The DFQ (Dale Fielder Quartet)has recorded 13 CDs and have performed at venues the world over. I am also an educational clinician for Jupiter Band Instruments which I play and endorse. I focus on teaching improvisational skills to students. My record label, Clarion Jazz, has released over 20 recordings since 1991 and many have been charted in the Top 10 and Top 20. Clarion Jazz is a consortium label created to help jazz artists get their music to the listening public and music marketplace in a professional manner competitive in quality to the major labels, while still owning their work and reaping the financial benefits from it. By creating music projects not dictated by corporate limitations, it is my hope to assist in bringing about new levels of creativity in jazz music. In this small way is how I hope to make a difference.
One of the greatest powers we ever received is the power of our thoughts. There is an Intelligence inside us that can elevate our life at the highest level. Peace is a state of harmony, the absence of hostility. This term is
applied to describe a cessation of or lapse in violent international
conflict; in this international context, peace is the opposite of war.
Peace can also describe a relationship between any parties
characterized by respect, justice, and goodwill. More generally, peace
can pertain to an individual relative to her or his environment, as
peaceful can describe calm, serenity, and silence. This latter
understanding of peace can also pertain to an individual's sense of
himself or herself, as to be "at peace" with one's self would indicate
the same serenity, calm, and equilibrium within oneself.
