"I write the songs, I write the songs"
I have been singing since the day I was born and I write songs because it is the best way I can express myself - and because I love it! Music is a great release and my songs communicate and represent a part of me but I also hope that they are accessible and relevant to those who listen to them.
My voice has been described as… "pure and innocent one minute, defiant or angry the next” and even “a touch menacing at times”.
I have an album out under the Endeavour/Christa Records label - "To The Man I Never Knew". The tracks playing on this site were recorded at The Famous Yard, produced by the extremely talented James Watson and Charles "Chicky" Reeves. They are all my own tunes except for one cover of John Martyn's fabulous "May You Never".
As well as writing and performing my own music, I work with various other bands including Diplomacy who play jazz/blues/soul originals, Natureboy and funk/reggae/hip hop collective Back to The Rhythm.
Recording, mixing, mastering, production and songwriting. Only £20 per hour and even less if you block-book. Really great equipment and experienced staff.
Strange day. After watching a documentary about streakers suffering from over exposure, I took a nap. It was a short one. I woke up a midget. At first I was freaking out, jumping around, trying to reach the wall phone. It tired me out. So I sat on a foot stool and placed my face in my hands wondering why this had happened to me. In the middle of self-pitying I started noticing how much fun it was to kick and swing my feet. I was smiling again, and found myself running through the house at full speed... wrestling with my now giant puppy. Oh, the joy! I hadn't had so much fun in years! We laughed and played and laughed until we both fell asleep exhausted on the living room floor. Then I woke up and ruined the whole damned thing.
Apart from being one of those comments you rightfully hate with all your divine powers this also happens to be...well, my stupid attempt to leave a trace in your frontal lobe that'll last more than 10 seconds. I don't believe it'll work. Then again, I believe in unbelievable things.
The album. Download it. Either on iTunes or for free. Let it breathe on your playlist for a while. It will grace your chips, wires, ears. It'll make your aura shine. Then again, maybe you don't like presents. Which is perfectly fine.
