  • Bio

I'm a Toronto-based guitarist, guitar instructor, and composer of instrumental guitar music. I perform regularly at many Toronto venues both as a solo artist and as a freelance musician, as well as teach solo and group lessons. Highlights in 2011 included Toronto performances at Scotiabank Nuit Blanche, The Mod Club, and at the Music Gallery with Montreal composer Tim Brady (as part of an ensemble performing the Toronto premiere of his piece "20 Quarter Inch Jacks"). I have just finished recording my first EP, entitled "The Silverbirch Sessions". Its five songs range from recent compositions, to the very first piece I ever wrote, at 15. For any queries about bookings, private guitar lessons (either in person or via Skype), or to be put on my mailing list, please email me at: sgguitar77@gmail.com. "Dallas' guitar playing is a conduit into the soul. He has the rare ability to create heartfelt, emotional music that can transport the listener to the hidden places within." Glenn Phillips "A welcoming piece of blues-inspired guitar-playing, marrying a hard-edge style, virtuosity, and a sense of rhythm, while weaving through the spirit of Peter Green and Eric Clapton. Immaculate technique, a focused stage-presence, this is a rich and crisp sound that draws on musical traditions making every note count and ring true." Lonely Vagabond
