D'Alliance consists of three multi-talented instrumentalists on various combinations of flute, guitar, whistles, piano and fiddle and vocals. They deliver sublime Irish and Scottish tunes played with passion and elegance and almost classical virtuosity. Leaping from snippets of Handel's Queen of Sheba to Fischer's Hornipipe in a single breath, they are never afraid to experiment with fresh ideas and new approaches. Add to this some brilliantly devised guitar solos, and original heart wrenching songs, expressive piano compositions and intricate new whistle and fiddle tunes borne from strong Celtic influence.
