Malcolm Mills, aka Damali, is the founder and CEO of Dap Stallion Productions as well as founder and co-producer of The Underground Storm Festival Series and new television show, The Soul Asylum. Malcolm’s talents lend him as a writer, multi-instrumentalist, spoken word artist and music producer. While, Malcolm is best known as Damali, one half of the internationally acclaimed duo, Quiet Rage, he has been able to amass Philadelphia’s untapped talent and harness his skills into producing and consulting. Damali is one of the very few artists who actually considers music production an art form and it shows in the high quality of his work. He does the majority of his production work and is considered the in-house production master of the famous underground recording studio, Slap Studios in Philadelphia. He has also worked with great engineers and producers including the award-winner producer, Franz of BMR Studios. Damali has produced excellent tracks for genres such as Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B, Rock, House and Electronica. Damali plays five instruments: Drums /Percussion, Keyboards, Guitar /Bass Guitar. Damali has now taken his talents to a new level. Currently working on his solo album called “2012”, it is to be his most creative and dramatic CD ever. Known for his “come at your throat” lyrics and performance style, “2012” will not disappoint. “2012” is the world’s first spoken word opera album, done Damali style. To be released in the fall of 2008.
