Through her soulful guitar rifts and introspective lyrics, Damaris is as much
musical storyteller as passionate entertainer. Her playing has been compared to
Ritchie Blackmore and Randy Rhoads as well as earning her the moniker A female
Santana. Damaris burst into the musical world at the age of seventeen with a
hard rockin style that served her well in several all-girl bands including
Sweet Vengeance and Cherry Red. Now that she has branched out on her own,
Damaris has tempered this fiery beginning with a poignant wisdom that allows her
to reach, and be relevant to, a wide variety of audiences. Her style is her
own, blending aspects of pop, rock, and folk with haunting instrumentals. This
singer, songwriter, and guitarist credits influences such as: The Runaways,
Lita Ford, Joan Jett, The Pretenders, Heart, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, and Randy
Rhoads with her musical inspiration.
Based out of West Chester Pennsylvania, Damaris plays throughout the
Philadelphia metro area, though she has also played extensively in the Los
Angeles area of California. She has recently put together an evocative album,
Damaris which is available online. To purchase the album, or to learn more about
