About me:

I am not proud of my heritage, nationality or race because these are things that I didn't attain by merit; I accomplished nothing for them. Genetics determined my race. Where my parents were living at the time of my birth determined my nationality and where my ancestors came from determined my heritage. Whoopie doo. I'm not proud of my country because being proud of an inanimate land mass is rather silly. Am I proud of my government? No. I can only nod in approval when it accomplishes something good and bitch up a storm when it fucks over the populace or screws things up on an international scale. Am I proud of my nation's institutions? Nope. It works the same as with government. What about regular people? I can only be proud of the accomplishments of those individuals I personally know or those that I hear about. Otherwise, no.. and there are large segments of the general population that no one should be proud of anyway. I also hold no pride in a coloured piece of cloth that denotes a nation.. also known as a flag. If I'm going to be proud of a piece of cloth, it'll be one I embroidered myself, wove myself, or that someone gave me as a gift, thank you. I'm proud of what I accomplish in life, of my intelligence, my creativity, my skills, how I improve myself or how I improve in my hobbies..

I am the proud mother of a five-year-old son and have been married to one of the silliest, sweetest guys on the planet for the past five years as well. The two of them manage to fill my life with laughter and insanity!

I'm the sort who believes violence only belongs in movies, music and video games where real people and real property don't face the consequences. We as humans need to evolve to a point where we can solve our problems without resorting to wars and other violent acts (or at least to the point where we use video games like Counter-Strike to solve them instead of launching real missiles at each other and torturing/shooting each other for a piece of land or a resource.) Am I anti-war? You betcha!

I support some version of a 'Prime Directive,' since I don't think it's acceptable for any one nation (or group of nations) to attempt and force their ideas, culture, and goods upon another nation. Everyone should have the right to develop at their own pace, decide which system is right for them, and evolve according to their own morals/values/culture/ideals. Anything other than that is wrong.

As a mother, I'm sick and tired of other parents who blame schools/the government/video games/movies/music/television because their child is fat/lazy/disrespectful/violent... GET IT THROUGH YOUR SKULLS! It's NOT the job of schools or the government to raise your child for you! It's YOUR job to teach your child healthy eating/exercise habits, to get your kid off his/her ass when he/she wants to sit on it, to teach your kid proper manners and etiquette, etc.. and not just through words, but BY SETTING A POSITIVE EXAMPLE! Furthermore, it's YOUR JOB as a parent to RESEARCH the games, music and television programmes your kid wants to play/listen to/watch and pick ones that are acceptable for your child's age and maturity level. THE INFORMATION IS OUT THERE! If I can manage to take the time and spend the effort doing my job as a parent, SO CAN YOU!

In case you couldn't tell, I'm a 'what you see is what you get' kind of person, because I don't give a flying fuck about wrapping myself in a package that's pleasing to the masses.

I don't sugar-coat the truth to make it an easier pill to swallow, which can get me in trouble with people sometimes and often has people throwing the terms 'bitch' and 'asshole' in my general direction.

And yes, I do have my random moments.. and I'm completely nuts.. so COPE! :P

We all have a 'theme song;' a song that we can relate to and that we feel best 'describes' us in some way. This is mine:

Who I'd like to meet:

Anyone who thinks they're up to the task of conversing with me. Bullshitters need not apply. People who think I'm going to put out for them need not apply, since I'm not a piece of ass and I'm married besides.
