Sounds Like
This band would have sounded good at the first Woodstock in 1969. Featuring Damian Knapp's slide guitar and Peter Knapp's haunting lyrics, the music takes you on a psychedelic journey to uncover the truth. An eclectic mix of Blues, Jazz, Alternative, Jam, and Reggae deliver a Folk-Rock vibe.
During the summer of 2003, after years of estrangement, Damian and his Father, Peter Knapp, reunited briefly to compose an album’s worth of original music with plans to record and form a new band. Sadly, Peter passed away on October 17th, 2003. Damian spent the next four years recording and producing their dream. Recently, this album was re-mastered and was selected as editor’s pick 91 at CD Baby in the American Traditional Rock category. Below are a few of the reviews the album has received…
“Knapp’s got a funky, kind of trippy, easy going sound and voice that sticks with you. My favorite song, ‘Maui In The Sun’, makes me want to set my boobs free and wear a sundress. The title is deceptive. There is no slack key and it’s very Beatles. Knapp and his late father wrote the songs on the album and planned to perform them together before his untimely death… You need to listen to the eclectic blend yourself.”
-By Starr Begley, Maui Time Weekly, Maui, HI
“Damian channeled his father’s spirit and created something really quite moving with this release… It is a mixture of musical styles, incorporating rock, jazz, and the blues into a subtle stew… Heavy subject matter, yes, but not done heavy handedly.”
-Paul Aaronson, Elmore Magazine, NYC
“Damian Knapp’s new effort, ‘Will You Cry When I Die?’, is an unexpectedly eclectic blend of rootsy Americana, colorful hippie-ish jams and subtle blues… Backed by guitars, drums, trumpet, trombone, piano and saxophone, Damian flirts with acoustic pop, folk, and Sublime-esque reggae… It is an intense, personal album that serves as a moving final chapter for Peter- and a promising offering from Damian.”
-Karen E. Graves, The Other Paper, Columbus, OH
“An effort that bears both Damian’s raw blues/folk stamp and a tinge of jazz that reflects Pete’s musical identity, underscoring poignant, soul-searching lyrics.”
-Anastasia Pantsios, Free Times, Cleveland, OH
“Took a listen to the two minute clips of ‘Will You Cry When I Die?’ on CD Baby. Just wanted to add that it’s really great what you’re doing! The whole album is the real thing! Copied the CD cover and put it into my front page Hot Picks box. Thanks again for the music!”

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

Hey Damian - enjoying your CDs "final justice" and "will you cry when I die". They're in regular rotation in our store. But I just realized that we are completely out of "will you cry when I die" CDs to sell - so when you get a chance, could you drop some off or even give some to Rick? Thanks a bunch - take care!
Hey Damian, been pretty good, how about yourself? Yea luckily they weren't hurt and didn't have any damage to their home. Sounds good about your band, but unfortunately I'll be in San Diego this weekend presenting my research at a cancer conference for school. Next time your in town for sure let me know and I'm there! How are things going with your band? You still in Columbus?
Hi! I posted two rough mixes from my next record. "Never Stopped (Lovin Him)" and "Shoot You Down" are Old-timey Country Heartbreakers. Please check them out! Love BJ
