Having spent the past 5 years DJing in the confines of his bedroom young Derry DJ Damien Boyle has made inroads on the local Dj Circuit with his consistent guest spots and well received DJ mixes.
Damiens tech funk sound with progressive undertones has been gaining fans throughout the Northwest and it has been no suprise that his name is regularly appearing at top club nights throughout the City.
Influences come from many different DJ's and its easy to see that Damien is a man that likes good quality music when he notes the likes Ricky Ryan(Can Costa), Paolo Mojo, Nils Noa and Jonathan Lisle as his major inspirations.
With gigs increasing at some of the City's top house events Damien has gradually managed to attract the attention of promoters throughout his home town.Most notably his slots at Inertia where he has shared the bill with Soma record's Funk D' Void during their St Patrick's celebrations.
Damien has also featured alongside Lather Rinse Repeats London protege Marcashken,who many see as one of the rising stars in the British minimal scene.
Other gigs locally have included slots at Sonus and also at futurefunk,both clubnights have booked Damien on numerous occasions given the fact that he played exceptionally well on every appearance.
The future is shaping up to be very interesting for Damien.Having established his own Sonic Rhythms website (which he set up to help push up and coming DJ's) he also plans to take the website to an intimate club setting in the not too distant future.Here's to another successful year!
