I'm an author, columnist, musician, heretic part-time instigator and full-time nerd. My preferred areas of interest are theology and popular culture. I am an editor for PULP, an alt-monthly publication for southern Colorado, and I'm a columnist for DisciplesWorld Magazine.
I have a new podcast being published. You can check it out on the player here on this page, and you can also subscribe to receive new episodes as they come available. Catch it on iTunes as well, if you use that as a podcatcher. I have audio chapters of my books here, along with interviews with other writers, artists and theologians, and topical discussions in the areas of writing, art, music, theology and popular culture.
My first book, "Lost: A Search for Meaning," is an exploration of the many theological, mythological and historical themes in the TV show, "Lost." Visit my website (www.christianpiatt.com) to download the introduction and first chapter of my book FOR FREE.
Also, check out my blog for column posts, discussions about the book, and other posts about Lost, spoken word pieces I've written and other random thoughts.
My second book is called "Myspace to Sacred Space: God for a New Generation," that I co-authored with my wife, Rev. Amy Piatt, about the relationship of today's young adults to spirituality, religion, mainstream culture and one another. You can get a free chapter from this book on my site too at www.christianpiatt.com.
Here's a link to a player where you can check out my entire new acoustic album, EFFECT-FREE LP, on lala. Course, it wouldn't kill you to buy it too...

Unconventional, my newest novel, will be published by Mindstir Media later this year, and joining the Email List will ensure that you receive updates regarding my book release, contests, giveaways, and more.

Thanks for the add! I love meeting fellow Lost geeks.
Seriously, it's comforting that there are others out there who spend WAYY too much time on such things as googling Jeremy Bentham or analyzing a paused frame of a journal entry from Daniel Faraday on your TV screen.
