Sounds Like
What you want it to, but with roots in Irish-Cape Breton Fiddle with the attitude of a Cajun. Jerry Holland, Shooglenifty, Eileen Ivers. Sensible.
I've owned at least one fiddle since 1982. It was called a violin for almost 20 years.
Its been spilled with Champagne, beer, wine, cigarettes burns, and never been stolen. I attempt to play it and am payed large sums of money to do so. I have done so willingly and have taken such money from large corporations, record labels, religious groups, other music types, and even a few dead people have payed me to play. Yes, really.
I live and work in Somerville where I randomly relocated from somewhere else. I record other peoples noise here: BlueTone Studio. I was born in CT, and grew up in Nova Scotia which is where I think of as home. I have a weird accent. I like fire. I hate televisions. I like playing sports, but I don't. I cook and eat, but spend more time eating. You can find more tiddlings at this un-updated website:

I don't like talking on phones, I like meeting people and talking with them. If they are strange that is better. If they are old that is better. If they are both old and strange I fit in.
I'm currently debating whether I am Waldorf or Statler. I always wanted to be Gonzo.

“Time bends and you blast past planets, stars, solar systems, to arrive in a thrilling, exotic place you’ve never been before. The New Cartographers take you on the same kind of wild ride, exploring brave new musical worlds and bending concepts like looping and melody to their own virtuosic ways. McSurely and drummer Michael Petrucci map out fresh territory, using rock improvisation and textural sonics to define a terrain rich in sweeping beauty, daring in scope, and bristling with creative energy. Recording in Roslindale, Massachusetts’ Big Big Studios with an analog tape machine, vintage plate and spring reverbs, a sampler, and a handful of stomp boxes, they create what McSurely playfully calls “retro sounds of the future.” – Ted Drozdowski (review excerpt)
And come to our profile to check out some new songs!
Please check out our new music video about the "Vampire Bankers". The guy who directed Madonna's first video directed this, too. We think it's a pretty funny tune and vid. Thanks for being our friend!
