Just a little bit about the things I have overcome before I get started. Growing up our house was robbed twice, my mother overcame breast cancer , I was in a very bad car accident when I was 21 where they had to perform four surgeries in order to save my leg, recently me and my family lost my little sister (Cozette) in a car accident and that's not even the half, the first surgery I had I was only two years old, as a child and an adult I have had several medical issues, I have seen violence, people on drugs and have had my own issues with drugs and violence. I have experienced lots of other things that could have discouraged me also. My name is Dana Brenklin and I was reared by my single parent mom along with my late little sister after my mom and dad split when I was nine. I grew up in south central Los Angeles. I am a singer, songwriter, poet, actress and certified recording engineer. I have been singing since I was four years old. My mother has been very supportive of my dream to become a singer. She made it possible for me to tour with the Crenshaw Elite Choir, once even using the rent money to send me abroad. I sincerely appreciate her support for so many years. I have also appeared on television shows with the choir. Since graduating from high school I served in the MILITARY, I have recorded two demos, appeared on television as a solo artist, copyrighted over 145 songs, graduated from recording engineer school, did work on the sound stage at Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch along with people from my recording school, won two editor's choice awards, sang at the famous "Lighthouse" in Hermosa Beach and did extra work in a Denzel Washington movie called "Virtuosity". So I have been very busy trying to make my dream come true. Thanks to God and my mother I just refuse to give up. As of today October 28,2006 I recieved my ASCAP membership card. I hope you are doing great my friends... and i hope you are copeing with MJ's flight into the heavens.... We are all sadden and hurt.. but we must keep the faith.. as Michael Says, and keep going and show how he has touched our lives. I'am proud to be a Michael Jackson Fan...from the beginning to the end.. i have never lost faith in Mike and i never will... Please allow me to walk beside Michael and be like a shadow to him... He's a icon of epic porportions... I'am glad to of been the generation that got to see him up close and witness his magic...
