Yo! I can groove to almost anything with a hot beat. If it makes me want to dance, workout, have sex, or drive fast...I'll listen to it. I love all kinds of music from various genres such as: R&B, classic rock, southern rock, reggae, rap, pop, country, classical, 70's, jazz, even oldies and yes...80's, especially Hall and Oates.
Not much on music I can't understand like extreme metal or underground rap...or anything else lacking basic talent. Don't care for "wrist-slitting" songs from suicidal alternative rock bands, but I guess there's a place for it in someone's ipod...just not mine.
Movies
I'm such a movie buff! And over the years I've become quite the film critic too. I enjoy all kinds of movies, but I'm particularly drawn to dramas, thriller/suspense, dark comedies, and crime stories.
I avoid "blockbuster" type movies surrounded by empty media hype. I'd rather see an independent film any day.
Favorite actors: Benicio Del Toro, Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman, Jack Nicholson, Joaquin Phoenix, George Clooney, Russell Crowe, Nicholas Cage, Billy Bob Thornton, Terrence Howard, Will Smith, and Anthony Hopkins.
I don't watch a lot of television. I feel it's a waste of time and furthermore I cannot stand commercials. In that sense, my guilty pleasure would be surfing the Net or being here on MySpace. If I watch TV it's late at night, and I tend to watch shows on National Geographic, Animal Planet, Discovery, History, Military, A & E, ID, or the Tru. I like shows on animals, history, the planet, crime, etc...
I'm NOT into reality shows like most people. I feel my life is too exciting on its own to watch others day to day lives (plus it's scripted anyway).
Books
I don't read books, I write them. Just kidding about the first part, but I am a writer, and yes, I'm coming out with my very own memoir next spring 09.
I enjoy reading books on travel, wildlife, weaponry, government policies & politics, as well as Michelangelo, Plato, Aristotle, and Socrates.
Heroes
Obviously, my biggest hero is Jesus Christ. I feel he ranks higher than anyone else for very good reasons. Aside from him I would say my father and my finance Scott.
I admire many other people for various reasons, but I wouldn't call them heroes. I admire women like Oprah, Martha Stewart, Sarah Palin, and Angelina Jolie for all the amazing things they have accomplished in their fields as well as in broader scopes. However, there is a difference between icons and heroes. I believe most 'true heroes' go unknown. We will never see their names written in lights. Nonetheless, they are on the front lines fighting selflessly for noble causes that touch all of our lives.
I hope your Evening is going well. I also hope your doing ok too. I had a Great day with my dad as well as with my friends at my local Games Workshop store too. I did some work on 1 out of 2 versions of me as a Chapter Master to my Ultramarines Chapter. The 1st one is nearly finished so stay tuned for pics!. I'm really liking my NEW Ultramarines novel that has my 2 favourite characters Brother Captain Uriel Ventris and Brother Sargeant Pasanius Lysane. I hope things are well.
