Born in Tel Aviv of Iraqi/Singapore and English descent,Dana has been in London since the age of three, she graduated from Central School of Speech and Drama and alongside her live gigs and recording sessions,went straight into songwriting.
Together with the extraordinary Australian guitarist/composer/producer MARK JOHNS (Ray Davies, Jeff Beck,Natasha Bedingfield), they formed a writing and performing partnership which has seen their songs on everything from Albums to Soaps, Documentaries,Film,Drama,Radio and Commercials, in the U.S, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and throughout Europe.
(My Soul) Ghost was featured on Britains 'Hollyoaks' and was named as the 'most searched for song in Spain' after it was featured on one of Spain's top-rated drama's 'Los Hombres de Paco'. it has attracted worldwide support and requests for a tour and album have led Dana to complete her debut album 'Ghost'. It was written and recorded in London, Africa, LA and Sydney, and amongst the familiar songs,contains five previously unreleased tracks. 'Ghost' is due for release on September 4th, and is available from here or www.danakerstein.com.
