He performed pop tunes...His warm voice filled the room and had some of singing backup from our seats"... Singer/Guitarist Dana Lewis is no stranger to the Worcester music scene. As the singer and rhythm guitarist for such notable 70's and 80's acts 290 East, AX, and Windfall, Dana was a fixture on the local club and college circuit throughout central New England. In 1982, Dana retired from playing to start his business and family. The music bug bit Dana again in the Fall of 2006 and he returned to his Worcester music roots as an acoustic act. His extensive repertoire includes such artists as The Beatles, The Bee Gee's, The Rolling Stones, Harry Chapin, Willie Nelson, Neil Young, Phil Ochs, Harry Nillson, Tom Rush, Arlo Guthrie, Elvis, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond and Waren Zevon. Dana can be seen performing "The sound track of your youth" at these fine establishments throughout the year: Vinny T's Open Mic Mondays, Halligan's Sports Bar, Auburn, The Whistle Stop, Oxford, The Willowbrook, Mendon, Applebees, Park Ave, Worc., La Busolla Restaurant Rte 122a, Holden, BEATNICKS' Pub, Park Ave, Worc, Tavern on the Common, Rutland, The Copper Stallion, Sturbridge, Hopedale Country Club, the Gold Eagle, Dayville, CT., Stoggy Hollow, Woodstock Valley, CT. Spruce Street Tavern, Clinton, Galway Bay, Worcester, The Webster House, al Fresco's Holden, Hotel Vernon, Caffe' Sorento, Milford and New England Steak & Seafood. Mendon. In addition to his regular gigs, Dana has also performed at: Apple Bees (Millbury Mall), Larz Anderson Auto Museum, Indian Ranch, Blissful Meadows Country Club, Hopedale, The Blackstone Tap, Jumpin' Juice & Java, Worcester,City Lights, the Upper Deck Alpine Ski Lodge, the Tara, Block 5 Bistro, Rotmans Cafe' Fantastique, Crown Plaza, the Green Rooster Coffee House, Emerald Isle, The Lodge Steak House, City Lights, the Irish Times and the Emerald Isle. TV Appearances: Dana has also taped 3 live studio broadcasts for Charter Cable's "Local Rock" and WCCA-TV 13. Radio Apearances: The College Connection WCUW FM 98.1 Dana was instrumental in developing the acoustic music scene at the Hotel Vernon with his monthly Wednesday Open Mic. Notable performers include Worcester Magazine Turtle Boy Award Winner Jim Berkeley, Sean Fullerton, James Keyes, Carl Camp and Jason James as well as jazz finger-style guitarist Tom Ewart, Michelle Lewis, Lisa Lawrence, Matt St. Hubbins and ukulele impresario Rich "AD" Leufstedt.
