Dan Anibal's musical influences go as far back as the calssical composers J.S.BACH, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, and many others, as well as pianists such as Richter, Gould, Horowitz, and many more who have left a mark in his life through their compositions and genius.
His contemporary influences are some of the greatest acts in pop and rock music; Billy Joel, The Beatles, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, The Police, U2, Pearl Jam, and more. In his early life he was also exposed to many artists of the latin world such as Joan Manuel Serrat, Carlos Gardel, Julio Sosa, Javier Solis, Los Iracundos, Julio Iglesias, and others.
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Dan migrated to the United States in 1991. He studied keyboard, classical piano and music theory and earned his BA in Music Studies at William Paterson University. He wrote his first love song in Spanish when he was 14, and his first song in English at 17 after mastering the language. Today, his writing is inspired by personal experiences, past and present relationships, also extremely influenced by world events across the globe and in our society. His debut album "The Circus" has been Dan's greatest accomplishment in his career so far. The CD is based on songs written in the past years of Dan's life as a collection of emotions, experiences, and the many views and aspects of society. The musical collection comes form his heart. It is his way to give something back to the world of music, a world that has given him so much in life. Recently Dan is working on new material and will return to the studio in May to record his new single "Sympathy". Also with enough material under his belt to record at least 3 more albums, Dan is looking for a record label that will share his enthusiasm in his music and work with him to bring his art to the masses.

Where have you been? Miss ya in the Pro Shop. By the way, I see that Glenn Gould is now above me in your top friends. Are you saying that he might be a better pianist than I?...LOL...
Good choice. He's a Canadian born musician, so that is never a bad choice.
