About me:

Photobucket I am a complete enigma to myself, so why would I expect anyone else to understand me? There are however, some things about myself of which I am certain: I am honest and generous to a fault. I am passionate, playful, intelligent, sarcastic, sensitive, flirtatious, impulsive, determined, emotional, inventive, stubborn, creative, intense, perplexing, exasperating, opinionated, romantic, curious, resourceful, open-minded, loyal (complete enigma) . I am a divorced, single father of an 8 old boy. I grew up on in the farming community of White Pine, Tennessee. I learned plenty about cows and ate many a wild blackberry and kissed my first girl in a barn, enjoyed catching fireflies and learned to love the view of the Smoky Mountains. The down side of my childhood was that I was diagnosed with dyslexia at age nine, therefore school was always a struggle for me, and still is. I spent loads of time with my grandparents who lived near my great grandfather’s farm close to the Nolichucky River. My grandfather was a big influence on me. He taught me many things just by how he lived his life. Like many men of his generation my grandfather served during WWII, he was in North Africa and Southern Europe exactly where I would go. I recall him telling me the devastation of city’s like Naples Italy, so I was so happy to report to him that the city he librated was as beautiful and lively as any city in Europe. Later I was told that the news brought a smile to his face when he read my letter and saw the post card. Grandfather is gone now and I miss him so. After high school I enlisted in the Navy and became a hospital corpsman. I took one of the hardest assignments for a Navy Corpsman while I was assigned to 3rd battalion 4th Marines at Camp Le June, North Carolina, for 2 years. I saw quite a bit of southern Europe, went to Honduras, Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, northern Africa and experienced some really incredible things, some good, some very bad. Honduras was a real nightmare that I will never forget. I actually loved southern Europe in especially the city of Venice; it was the most romantic and interesting city of all the places I visited. It was quite an experience to meet people from several different country’s. I spent Christmas In Palma, Spain, with some jolly people from Norway did you know they eat raw cold fish at Christmas? Oh European woman are great I almost never wanted to come home. Now for most of my life I have worked as a Paramedic, which is the greatest job in the world. The majority of my Paramedic carrier was spent in Knoxville, TN. There I also saw some really incredible things some good, some bad. I really liked being a Paramedic though; sometimes I miss it so much that it makes me sad to think I’m not working as a paramedic. I have a little experience as a fire fighter and in public safety education and injury prevention fields. I was involved in an ambulance accident several years ago and my doctor says I should no longer work on an ambulance. Since then I have worked in several different health clinics, but I am going back to school now, for nursing. I attend Walters State Community College and haven’t even started the nursing classes yet mostly just general course work for now. I live in a small town in Eastern Tennessee called Morristown. I moved here after I got my home in Jefferson City foreclosed in September.(the last 4 years have really been hard for me). Eastern Tennessee is a beautiful place and my family has been here since 1790.I am descended from the Scots-Irish (sometimes called Ulster Scots), Germans, English, French Huguenots, lowland and highland Scots, Irish and some Cherokee. We are surrounded by rolling hills, peaceful mountains and wonderful sights and smells, if you listen you can hear music in the air. I also take care of my mother who has Parkinson’s disease since 1995.Parkinson’s disease is a horrible thing to happen as a person it has taken the life my mom used to know away from her. I have also been a stand in father for my 18yo nephew who has made me proud as he has started college with me. I also teach Sunday school at All Saints Episcopal Church to the 12 and 13yo class I was told it was hard age group, but I’m really enjoying it. I’m not sure if my class knows it, but I am learning just as much from them as they are from me. I consider my self very progressive in religion I lean toward metaphysical Christianity which is a study of truth. It is looking beyond the superficial, seeing what is really there and not just accepting things at face value or not as most fundamentalist see it. But my number one job is being dad. I love flying kites, going to the park and just playing with my son. Timothy shows great potential in many things the arts and engineering are at the top of the list. He also has such a personality that he is the most popular guy in town, really everyone knows him. He also has a talent for making me blush I have hundreds of stories of such events. I have too many hobbies and interest to list them all, but I enjoy hiking, history, music and I attempt to write short stories and some poetry. I am very much affronted by hate, narrow-mindedness, raciest behavior which there is too much of in this world. I am an optimist and a bit of romantic and always look for the good in all people. I do not use myspace for a dating site. Normal people only please... weirdoes, psychopaths and drama queens need not apply...lol

Who I'd like to meet:

I'd like to contact old friends such as the EMS and fire people that I used to know from Rural/Metro Ambulance Knoxville and the Marines and Navy Hospital Corpsmen from 3 Battalion 4 Marines 1985-86. I enjoy meeting people from different points of view, as well as, persons who are like myself. I am easy to get along with and love conversation. I'd like to meet people who can introduce me to new things in life.I would also like to meet some one who is good at editing. And if possible a girl who I meet on a train to Venice in 1986 ( you know who you are) href="http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vczExMC5waG90b2J1Y2tldC5jb20vYWxidW1zL24xMTAvZGFuYTEzNjYvP2FjdGlvbj12aWV3JmN1cnJlbnQ9ZWtnYW5pbWJhcjNkYS5naWY=">Photobucket.. href="http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vcGhvdG9idWNrZXQuY29tL2ltYWdlcy9la2c=">ekg Pictures, Images and Photos..
