Singer/songwriter Dana Wilson draws his influences from country, classic rock and modern rock. The songs posted on myspace come from a writing collaboration with guitarist/producer Rick Matle.

"Transition" was released in November 2007. His latest CD "A Serenade for Sinners-A compilation of the dark and relevant" features a darker and harder rocking side. Rick Matle is featured on guitar with Ron Ellman's soaring violin work gracing the title track. The CD cover artwork is by Valerie Graham....check out her work on myspace.

Review of "Transition" from "Idio" Your Music Magazine by Gareth Vile
From Tom Petty through to doo-wop, he has a nostalgia for an earlier musical era. Transition is a perfectly amiable collection, never straying far from the classic template, but taking in country and latino motifs to vary the pace and mood.
What Wilson lacks in youth, he compensates in experience. He sings straight forward tales of love and loss, never really discovering any new paths through the regrets and hopes but lending them an authority. There is a nostalgia, both in his stories of the past and the very fabric of his music, a longing for a more secure, less fashionable rock 'n' roll and a clear song-writing tradition.
Wilson removes rock from its association with originality, and heralds a new kind of folk: looking backwards, an expression of influences and respect, prizing imitation over shock. He gets through a fair number of cups of coffee and romantic car journeys, broken hearts and compassionate women. There is no reason why this middle-aged rock should be less valid than the youthful versions that clog up the radiowaves: if it is a little pedestrian, it expresses the experience of a man who has grown up with rocknroll, and it has shaped his responses to mundane life. Charming if not vital, it marks an important step in the maturing of rock music.
