To label Dan Bino as just a DJ or producer would be discrediting one of
dance music's hardest working individuals given his wide array of titles.
Since he discovered dance music in 1992, Dan has been pushing the envelope to advance the genre in New York. With an extensive background, that includes spinning professionally in nightclubs around the world,
producing music, running a record label and program directing, Dan was
inspired to create Downshiftradio. A pioneering Internet radio station based
out of New York, Downshiftradio has hosted the talents of more than 3,000
DJs from around the world. Labeled by Time Out magazine as the "Underground Broadcast Sensation", Downshift led by Bino has been invited to participate in many events in NYC and abroad.
In 2003 Dan teamed up with Ilya Lishinsky to form "Magnifica". The two
produced countless hits including "Funkular", "Black Is the Color",
"Lifestyle" (all championed by Paul Van Dyk, Pete Tong, Danny Tenaglia to
name but a few), as well as remixing world-renowned artists such as Missy
Elliott and Jill Scott among others.
In 2006 Dan launched a solo career under the moniker "Khan Edison". In less
then two years Dan, under Khan Edison, released top charting releases such
as "Delayed", "Disconeqtue", "NY Stompin", "Jeremy", "Rock On" and "Feed The Baby" (the latter co produced with Johnny Vicious).
At 35, with way over a decade of experience, Dan's popularity has grown from strength to strength. His ever-popular Downshift Essential compilations are being broadcast on radio stations globally as well as countless online radio stations.
Dan concentrates on diversifying his sound as much as he does perfecting a
mix. His choice of music is not based on a specific style, but rather on a

There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.

1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
