Born in Portsmouth Virginia on August 3rd 1952, Dan started playing the guitar at the tender age of nine. His first paying gig was at the El Toro Marine Base Officers Club at the age of eleven. This was Dan's first introduction to a live audience. It was at this time that he learned of his love for performing live. He played under the name of the 69th Street Blues Band. Over the years he studied the guitar styles of Jeff Beck, Michael Bloomfield, Jimi Hendrix, Buzzy Featon, Larry Carlton and Robben Ford.
He has performed in several types of venues with other artists, namely the Blue Cheer, Michael Pinera (of Iron Butterfly), Blues Image (of Alice Cooper Cactus), Al Wilson, Ramsey Lewis, Freddie Fender, Robert Conti and Max Bennett.
Dan wrote his first song at the age of sixteen and has been actively composing and arranging music since that time. He was signed by Rhombus Records in 2004 and currently has released two Albums on the Rhombus Label.
