Music
I listen to so many different kinds of music that even I can't keep track. I used to say "everything but country and rap," but now that's not true. I'd have to say World music is my first love, followed closely by Swing/Rockabilly, New Wave, and Gothic/Industrial. I have a djembe, a didgeridoo, a Native American flute, and several other small instruments that get horribly neglected. My list of favorite artists changes often, though some always remain within the top 20.
I love classic movies, bad kung fu movies, and pointlessly violent movies. I like Monty Python, quirky humor, and the unnecessary use of llamas. In short, my tastes vary widely.
Sin City, Batman Begins, To Catch A Thief, Casablanca, To Have and Have Not, Sabrina, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Erik the Viking, The Fisher King, Warriors of Virtue, Only the Strong, Waking Ned Devine, Hero, Musa the Warrior, Once Were Warriors, Samurai Fiction
Television
Eureka, Dr. Who, Torchwood, Good Eats
Books
I like historical fiction, fantasy, and some science fiction. I'm a big fan of Terry Pratchett. Other authors I follow would be Tony Hillerman, Dennis McKiernan, Robert Jordan, Stephen R. Donaldson, Neil Gaiman, and Terry Brooks.

About me: I've been into photography since about '95. I got into it seriously around '99, and now it has become my profession. I still have a "real job" to pay the bills, but photography is my thing. It's what I want to do if I ever grow up.
I've done a little bit of everything. Once upon a time, I wanted to teach language classes for kids. I'm nearly fluent in Spanish and French, and I remember just enough Mandarin Chinese to get into trouble. I can count to ten in Cantonese, so if I'm ever celebrating the New Year in Hong Kong at least I'll know when to throw the confetti. I've been a security guard, a self defense instructor, an IT manager, and... Well, I've had lots of jobs. There's only one thing that's consistent -- I'm a pain in the ass. (You know what they say: find one thing and do it well.)
Wishes that the last few days of 2008 are wonderful and you have a spectacular New Years! Heres also to 2009 being beyond amazing filled with joy, success, and happiness! ~Namaste Debra
