GeneralAlessandra Luissi is the youngest daughter of choreographer Antonio Luissi, former solo dancer with Bayerisches Staatsballett (Bavarian State Ballet) and Beatriz de Luissi owners of Body Arts Center in Guatemala City. Alessandra received dance education in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern Dance with her father and most recently with choreographers Matt Cady (California) Tessandra Chavez (San Diego), and teachers at Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood, CA. Millenium Dance Complex is the home of Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Shane Sparks, Wade Robson. She has performed in all the concerts presented by Contempo Dance Company of Guatemala, including performances at Centro Cultural "Miguel Angel Asturias" and IGA Theater. Alessandra participated in many presentations offered by Danceforms' "The International Choreographers' Showcase" in Guatemala City and Antigua Guatemala. At present, she performs with independent choreographers Matt Cady, Tessandra Chavez, Nick Longe, Robert Schultz, well known choreographers in San Diego and North Hollywood, CA. This year, Alessandra instructed contemporary and hip hop dance to members of the Modern and Folklore Dance Company of Guatemala.

About me:
Susana B. Williams is the founder/director of DANCE-FORMS PRODUCTIONS, and the creator of "THE INTERNATIONAL CHOREOGRAPHERS' SHOWCASE," a branch of Dance-Forms Productions, which presents the collaborative work of distinguished choreographers at prestigious international events. On May 5, 2003, Mrs. Williams received the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, the highest honor awarded by the Commonwealth of Kentucky for her work as ambassador of good will and fellowship around the world, as well as for her contributions to Kentucky and her special achievements in the art of dance and choreography. Mrs. Williams is one of a selected group chosen from the United States to serve on the Nijinsky Awards 2002 Experts Commitee. The Nijinsky Awards Gala, officiated by her Royal Highness Caroline Princess of Hanover was held at Salle des Princes, Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo, Monaco on December 14, 2002. Williams graduated with honors from the National School of Dance of Guatemala. She received scholarships with the School of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, the National Ballet of Mexico, and with Nina Vyroubova School of Dance in Paris, France. Mrs. Williams received degrees in Arts and Education from the English American School of Guatemala, the University of Paris in France, and Farber und Form Experimental School in Zurich, Switzerland. She began instructing dance in 1968. Her teaching includes Classical Ballet, Modern Dance, Modern Jazz, Ethnic Dance, Dance Theater, Improvisation, Choreography, Movement Analysis and Creative Process, History of Dance, Dance Administration, Languages. Mrs. Williams performs and instructs regularly in schools all around Kentucky. She has created dance programs and dance projects for The Kentucky Institute for Arts in Education, The Arts in Education Department, the University of Louisville. Internationally, she instructed at the University of Veracruz in Xalapa, Mexico, as well as professional dance schools in Guatemala, El Salvador, Switzerland, Lithuania. As a professional dancer she performed with dance companies in Central America, Mexico, Canada, the United States, and France. Mrs. Williams held the Artistic Directorship of the National School of Dance of San Salvador, El Salvador, Modern and Folklore Dance Company of Guatemala, Primogenesis, Classical Ballet of El Salvador, and Thought-Forms Dance Company. As a choreographer she is interested in movement invention and in exploring and expressing consciousness through dance. She perceives dance as a catalyst for self expression and also as a unique system, expressing its own intrinsic being. Mrs. Williams is one of the finalist choreographers awarded at the 1993, 7th Saitama International Choreography Competition in Japan. She is a recipient of the 1988-89 Kentucky's Al Smith Fellowship for Choreography and the first choreographer receiving the Individual Artist Professional Development Award from the same organization. Mrs. Williams' choreography has been produced by national dance companies in Central America, arts festivals in the United States, Mexico, France, Japan, Lithuania. With 'Thought-Forms' she presented her work in more than 1,000 professional presentations including performances at The Kentucky Center in Louisville, Kentucky, Theatre de la Danse Golovine in Avignon, France, Centre de Danse du Marais and Le Regard du Cygne in Paris, France, Centro Cultural "Miguel Angel Asturias" in Guatemala City, Teatro de la Danza of the Fine Arts Institute in Mexico City, the Vienna Weeks Festival in Vienna, Austria, the Youth Theater in Vilnius, and the Drama Theater in Kaunas, Lithuania, Proyecto Cultural El Sitio in Antigua, Guatemala, Teatro del Estado in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico, Schouwburg Amstelveen in Amstelveen, Holland, The International Dance Fair NRW 2000 in Essen, Germany, the Monaco Danses Dances Forum in Monte Carlo, Monaco, Teatro Pedro Diaz in Cordoba and Teatro Netzahualcoyotl in Tlacotalpan, Veracruz, Mexico, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland, The Youth Theater in Novi Sad, the Belgrade Drama Theater in Serbia, La Marato de l'Espectacle in Barcelona, Spain, La Maraton de la Danza in Madrid, Spain, Sala Cuarta Pared in Madrid, Spain, the Montenegrin National Theater in Podgorica, Montenegro the Dora Stratou Theater in Athens, Greece and a tour of nine major cities throughout Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Missouri.

"Log In/Log out" Choreography and Performance by: Susana B. Williams "Log In/Log Out" was one of the solos featured in Danceforms' "The 40th International Choreographers' Showcase" performed at the Montenegrin National Theater on May 28 and May 29, 2008, at 20:00 hours Music by: Meredith Monk During her visit to Kaunas, Lithuania, Susana B. Williams worked with "Aura" Dance Company creating "Tierra Natal" a contemporary work to music by Dead Can Dance. The dance-theater piece was performed as part of Danceforms' "The 10th International Choreographers' Showcase" at the Drama Theater in Kaunas, Lithuania on May 27, 1999.

Who I'd like to meet:
Dutch choreographer Ivo Van Zwieten presented "6" as part of Danceforms' "The 35th International Choreographers' Showcase" at Centro Cultural "Miguel Angel Asturias" in Guatemala City. Check this version with dancers from the Stuttgart Ballet. On October 10 and 11, 2008 Danceforms' "The 43rd International Choreographers' Showcase" was presented at the Oldham County Schools Arts Center. One of the main features was Nick Lanzisera's choreography "Mercy" performed by Alessandra Luissi. This video clip shows Nick Lanzisera and Alessandra Luissi in rehearsal.
