A sonic tapestry of sorts, Dance Me Pregnant was formed in November 2006 by Jeff Ankenbauer, Corey Broman, Mike Schlesinger and John Vredenburg, all Omaha musicians who have performed in several other bands (The Shanks, Art in Manila, Little Brazil, Bear Country et. al.). In a progressive effort to flesh out the dynamic, keyboardist Mark McGowan (Ketchup & Mustard Gas) joined in Summer 2007. As well, the recent replacement of Schlesinger with guitarist Chris Machmuller (Ladyfinger) serves to accentuate the scream of consciousness that is now Dance Me Pregnant. Look for a Spring/Summer 2007 7" split release with Ladyfinger, to be available on No Dancing Records (www.nodancing.co.uk).
