ARTIST OF THE WEEK

The total package would be the only way to describe this up and rising country star, Brittany Wells. She has everything it takes to make it to the top and then some.

Brittany started with voice lessons at the age of thirteen and admits that she was very scared to sing in public. After her first singing engagement of singing at a Christmas concert with her singing teacher, she realized that she was hooked and couldn't wait for her next opportunity. Since the age of fifteen Brittany has performed consistently, turning heads wherever she has performed. At seventeen years old she became “Miss Teen Texas” and performed all over the state of Texas. One of her most memorable experiences she recalls was being able to sing the “National Anthem” for the opening of the Texas House of Representatives.

Brittany's first CD entitled “Loving Every Minute Of It” made quite the impact on the country music charts. The singles “From Harm's Way”, “Somebody's Somebody” and “Too Long” made it to the Music Row Chart and the Billboard Indicator Chart. Her CD was distributed on the Independent label “Spindletop Records”. Brittany's song “From Harm's Way” has received quite a bit of notoriety and has had much meaning to her. Her dad was an A-10 fighter pilot in the Air Force and she has had many family members who have served our country. A few years ago the Navy had invited her to fly aboard the U.S.S.J.F.K. for two days to do a concert for our troops. She left her trip with a special appreciation for what they do.

Aside from Brittany's obvious beauty and voice that could win the hearts of many, she has also added to her resume having the opportunity to appear on Fox and Friends in New York City and has appeared on GAC television for an interview and performance. She has had quite a bit of newspaper coverage and Internet site coverage as a result of the songs she was able to get played on the Radio. Brittany also toured numerous radio stations in promotion of her CD, something she has had to do with lack of in house promotion with her record label. She just recently walked the runway in a modeling job for a fundraiser to target eating disorders. Anastasia Brown (one of the judges from Nashville Star) and Deanna Carter (Strawberry Wine) were the hosts and special concert guests for this event.

Brittany is currently working on a new CD. This CD is a new project; to which she hopes to have the major labels take notice of. Her songs are heart warming and uplifting with a voice that would make anyone take notice. She also has a brand new fan club on MySpace, where you can find a great percentage of her fans being our service men that are stationed in Iraq. Brittany is sure to capture the hearts of major labels soon as she has with our U.S. Military! Be looking for more to come from this Country Star in the near future! She is on her way to the top, amongst the best!
