Our Mission Statement:

Dancers' Alliance enables dancers to be a part of a national community and acts as a resource to that community by providing information, recognition, and industry support. Through proposals, we establish equitable levels of compensation and conditions in work not covered by union jurisdiction, and represent our community in union proposals and committees.

We are primarily a resource and voice for professional dancers, and we are committed to the education of dancers in training and the participation and betterment of the entire national dance community.

The blogs of this page include summaries of common contracts we work under, professional guidelines and standards, Dancers’ Alliance minimums, and resources to help you attain the best working conditions possible. Whether you have worked professionally for 20 years or are just starting out, you can actively contribute towards achieving better wages and working conditions for all dancers! Get involved!!!

The union contract summaries outline the areas dancers encounter most. They are guidelines for your reference, but are by no means the contracts in their entirety; you need to be responsible to know what applies to your job.
