hey there all you gorgeous people out there. i'm looking for people to come out and support our shows in jax! i'm 23, and the love of my life is dancing. i've performed in daytona, st. pete, st. augustine, winterpark, ocala and jacksonville. i looooove making people smile and giving them a chance to be entertained in a way they never thought possible. come out and play with me! heh. j/k. but you should DEFINITELY come see a show. my drag family and i put on a good show. you can usually catch us two saturdays a month at THE NORM in jax! shows start at 11:00!!! $10 cover for 18-20 and $5 cover for 21 and up. Okay, see, what had happen was….LOL Last night (7/16-08) myself and some of the cast members of “Inside / Out” went to Millers Ale House by the Regency Mall to celebrate the birthday of one of our kittens (Scandalous Saine) We were like two tables deep and having a good ole time…there we were, minding our own business..LOL I went to the ladies room, and when I returned, I was informed that we were asked to leave. When I asked why, I was told that Scandalous and her girlfriend shared a public display of affection by exchanging a kiss. They were then approached by a manager who asked them to leave the premises for showing such a public display of affection. To say I was floored would be a HUGE understatement, and for those who know me, ya know I couldn’t just leave it at that! I asked the waiter if I could speak to another manager. I explained what had occurred and asked him what he would do had it been a STRAIGHT couple displaying the same public affection….his response (quote) “I’d ask them to STOP!” As if I weren’t livid enough, I had to ask him to repeat his response…..he did. I then proceeded to ask him why he would ask the straight couple to simply stop, but the lesbians were asked to LEAVE! Of course he had no real reply that made any sense, so I figured maybe he didn’t hear me right (Like anything that comes out of my big ass mouth goes unheard or misunderstood! LMAO but hey, ya never know) So I repeated my question…..he gave me the same response (which again, amounted to nothing) This conversation went back and forth for a few moments, when finally he informed me that the conversation was over, and that we had to leave………. In true Brooklyn Wade fashion, I agreed to leave, but not before informing the establishment that the manager was a homophobic bastard
