It's so violently windy and rainy here by the beach today. Seems just right though in a comforting sort of way to go along with the thoughts of many on this day of rememberance. And I remember driving home and going down the hill to the highway and looking over to the city to see the smoke rising up from where the twin towers used to be....wow, what a feeling it left me with, forever! Just minutes before this moment in time occured, I had been outside on the job learning the proper use of a fire extinguisher with our local fireman that was a yearly mandatory requirement. It seemed so routine at the time. What followed made history and we formed a circle in the lab and prayed, for what we weren't quite sure of but we prayed it would end soon! Guess we're still praying for this nightmare to end. That afternoon, I needed to bury one of my cherished pets that passed away the day before. I remember my family and I shedding many tears for my loss but also for the many buried beneath the rubble of the twin towers. This day I will never forget!
