I try to slightly mimic a few styles of Chuck Mangione, Herb Alpert, and some other trumpeters but what I want is a style all my own. I've been told that I have a naturally smooth, warm sound and that's basically the kind of sound I'm looking for. I'm always looking to improve it, however, but I know I will never perfect it. To loosely quote the great Jiggs Wigham, "If you're looking to be great or perfect, forget it. It'll never happen"
I'm not a band, nor am I famous in any way. I just figured that, since I plan to try and play professionally after college, I might as well make my own music profile. Check out my first original composition. It's in my song list and it's called "To Paul". It was originally titled "Give Me A Sign" but that was just a pending title. It is dedicated to my dad who shares many of the same tastes as me. I gave it to him for his birthday. Check it out. So, about me. I began playing the trumpet when I was in 4th grade. I played with the All-Ohio State Fair Band for 4 years and it was probably the most enjoyable experience of my life. I went to Padua Franciscan High School and played in the bands and orchestra there. I graduated in 2006. I also was in the Tri-C Jazzfest High School All-Stars jazz band for 2 years. In those 2 years we played in such places as Joe's Be-Bop Cafe in Chicago and the House of Blues in Cleveland and we even got the great honor to open for the great trumpeter Wynton Marsalis when he came to Cleveland! I am also trying to make my way as a voice-actor. I have a profile on the website Voice123.com check it out. Well, that's basically all there is to know. If you, for some odd reason, want to know anything else, contact me. Oh yea, here's my current voice-over demo. It's only character voices for the time being but eventually that will change. Tell me what you think. If you ever want to contact me, just send me a message or email me at trumpetbando@sbcglobal.net .
