Music
i like rock and roll. I like the blues. I like jazz. i like classical. i appreciate classic rock. i like some country. i like rockabilly. i like punk rock. i like hip hop. i like gangsta rap. I don't care for POP music, like the stuff i hear booming out of the slammed hondas ripping through my neighborhood. I don't care much for latin-pop at all, but i do love mariachi and banda music. I prefer fuzzy guitars to clean ones. And i appreciate drummers that have it together. Sometimes i only like certain parts of music, like for instance, i'm not a huge Interpol fan, though i admire their success, i absolutely love the way the drums come in off the breaks in PDA. (if that makes sense. I love the way the drums sound in that tune) I listen to my shuffle more than my iPod because i don't like having to decide what to play. I have 70 gigs of music in the iTunes but i'm happy with the 500megs of shuffle. On the shuffle right now i've got a very basic rock blend. it's got Frank Black, The Morning After Girls, The Out Crowd, The Rev (horton, not run), The Sex Pistols, The Nils, Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal, Jets to Brazil, The Dandy Warhols, Spoon, eminem, Patti Rothberg, Mike Doughty, Imperial Teen, Ambulance LTD., Bodyrockers, Harvey Danger and Jon Spencer. So you see, it's not a very wide range for my day to day. To be honest, i could listen to spoon all day today, warhols all day tomorrow, queens of the stoneage all day the next, and it wouldn't bother me much at all. I guess my favorite music is stuff that sounds dreamy enough to be horse pill infused, but rocking enough that my parents would like me to turn it down.
