Why do I love vintage clothing? Uniqueness, style, quality, history. Chances are, you aren't going to see anyone else wearing what you are wearing. Vintage clothing is usually more flattering and made better too. I love rayon, the miracle fabric! Soft drapey silky rayon print dresses, creped rayon cocktail dresses (even though I don't do cocktails) and rayon gabardine suits. I love a fitted 1940s jacket with detailed tailoring and bound button holes. I also think about the history of an item, was it a favorite piece of the previous wearer, where did she wear it? It's all part of the fun of wearing vintage.
Mainly The Beatles, U2, Nirvana and Beck. Occasionally Patsy Cline, The Smiths & The Jam. I love good old fashion Rock & Roll and often listen to WMGK .. when I'm working and I never miss Andre Gardiner's Breakfast with the Beatles on Sunday mornings.
Movies
Old movies from the 1930-40s. Cary Grant, Myrna Loy, Rosalind Russell, Ginger Rogers etc. The Thin Man, Bringing Up Baby. I love the old movies with fast dialogue, slapstick comedy and vintage fashions. Which decade are you?
Project Runway, Spongebob (I love Plankton) - lately I've been watching My Name is Earl and the new Dr. Who. I like The Soup too, and Reno 911. I also watch way too many decorating and remodeling
shows.
I like reruns of the X-files, the first few years, when it was a really great show. I also love Ab Fab and wish that the Comedy Channel or some channel would start showing
episodes again!
