Dandylion Daughters – Dandylion Daughters (Independent Release)
You know how a hectic thrilling electrical storm both delights and scares you a bit, How you are seduced by the constant violence of the downpour? And taken outside of yourself by the wicked flashes of lightning and thunder?
This EP reminds me of that.
There is a stillness at the heart of this chaos, an acceptance at the core of this anger, that sublimely connects and protects, while at the same time scratching at the nervous system.
Having heard some of Paul Abrey’s later solo work, the mixture of stillness and shivers becomes obvious, but taken as a creature all on its own, this EP, shoots out the hidden and the blatant with equal cruel grinning love.
As sharp as a young mind after four cups of coffee, Paul Abrey and the Dandylion Daughters prove they are an act to watch and listen out for. Supporting Amplifier at the Cavern -
This was a brave performance from a local band, a different kind of sound to the crossover/progressive rock that was to follow later in the evening. Dressed for the occasion this Goth metal band delivered a wall of noise with grinding bass and fearsome vocals. It was clear that these guys love to perform for the crowd. - rockbeast.com ..........................................................................................................................................................................................................
Dandylion Daughters were formed in 2002 by founding member Paul Abrey. Beginning as a two piece with box of tricks it was only a short time before we were joined by a drummer and dates in London aswell as local were quickly secured with some interest from labels. After a benifit gig in late 2002 the drummer was released from the band following personel indiferences. A new drummer Mark Pring was recruited and a 6 track mini album recorded with bass player Frim (Richard Frimston). Mark was then replaced by Jodey Cordwell in 2003 and Frim replaced with Garf Manser. A 3 track demo was recorded in April 2004 at Propogation House Studios while the band were enjoying local success, rave reviews and building a good following. June 2005 the band ceased gigging due to personel reasons but Paul is currently recording & working on new material - A new independent album will be released in 2009. Eye Coma is the first track complete for this new album which will be entitled - Cold Skin. More on this soon......!!!
also - I am working on a solo project called zeromusic (production) which is soundtrack music for film and TV. Please visit zeromusicproduction which can be seen in my friends below. Paul.

We would like to thank all the bands who supported Coombeshead Studios during 2007. It was our busiest year ever at just short of 100 bands, and allowed us to spend several thousand pounds on some major upgrades, launching us from a low budget studio to a fully professional setup. We continue to offer our low budget prices but offer a greater flexibility of control and greatly improved quality!
