About me:

...... The name of my page here is a play on the word “channeling.” I used to be a little wigged out by that word, but now I’m coming to see that it’s something we all do on some level, now and then, when we’re being our best selves, when we’re speaking our truth, when we’re finding our own ways to shine.

"Danelling" is what I do when I write (the good stuff, at least), when I connect with someone—friend or client--in some way that leaves us both feeling better, when I understand something with a sweeter clarity than I had before. Its just channeling Dan, but it’s the Dan whose mind is clear, whose heart is open, whose eye is always on the wide horizon, and whose tongue is always slightly in his cheek. “Danelling” is me tuned in, tapped in, and turned on to that stream of well being that’s always flowing and always accessible. I’m a writer—journalist, poet, essayist, novelist. I'm also a teacher, a perpetual student and seeker, a fundamentalist preacher’s kid turned mystic, a tennis player, a bookworm, a dog lover. I’m relatively easy to get along with, easy to smile, easy to talk to. I’m not so easy to figure out but the effort usually pays off.
