About Dane and The Whaleriders

Kiaora and welcome to our myspace thingy. My name is Dane Ngahuka, my name means ...more sugar...or ..some sugar...so come and get some..hehehehe... I was born in the city of Tauranga in New Zealand and I grew up in Heretaunga New Zealand.... My tribes are..Ngatiranginui and Ngatikahungunu, My family decends from Tamatea Arikinui the captain of the waka (canoe) Takitimu.... The chief canoe that lead the migration of our people to Aotearoa (New Zealand) over 1,000 years ago. My song Hoe a ra ( journey on) pays tribute to that. Maybe it is relavent to you as well...
