Dilla Pickles is out now! The official 2 in 1 album/mixtape in tribute to legendary producer/rapper J Dilla - is Dan-e-o's first FREE digital download project. Featuring the cream of the crop in Toronto hip-hop: Famous, Ian Kamau, marveL, Promise, Chemist, Conwell, Bobbleheadz and Kish, Dilla Pickles is a must have!
Influenced primarily by the “true kings of rap”: Big Daddy Kane, Kool G. Rap and Rakim, Dan-e-o was only 13 years old when he won a rap-off contest on a Toronto-based dance show, “Electric Circus”. Performing the aptly titled “Can’t Test Me”, he began a legendary career as one of Canada’s all-time greatest MC’s.
A consistent winner of freestyle battles and other talent competitions, Dan-e-o is now best known for his first single, “Dear Hip Hop”, which was released on Beat Factory’s RapEssentials Volume One album in 1996 and accompanied by a Canada-wide tour with Wio-K and Choclair. "Dear Hip Hop", now considered a "Canadian hip-hop classic" according to Wikipedia, is now available on the album Dear Hip Hop, which features gems recorded by Dan-e-o in the mid-90's.
Dan-e-o would go on to establish his crew Monolith as a Canadian favourite in the world of hip-hop in 1997. He helped found One Rock Records and together with Monolith, independently released the EP, The Long Awaited…, the following year. Spawning two incredibly inventive music videos in “At The T.O.P.” and “Plan Eh”, this project helped put Dan-e-o and the 11-member Monolith crew permanently on the hip-hop map.
In 2000, Dan-e-o released his eagerly anticipated debut album, The Book of Daniel to rave reviews and nationwide intrigue. Including the now-classic cuts, “Corrida De Toros”, “Margerine”, “Revenge” and “Baahd!”, The Book of Daniel represented one of the most incredible displays of breathless lyricism ever!
In 2004, Dan-e-o’s long-awaited second album, See No Evil, Hear No Evil smashed on to the scene with a bunch of bangin' singles including “T.N.T.”, "Funkbox", "Foxy Lady", "Sekkle Down" and the party anthem, “Kama Sutra” featuring dancehall king and Dan-e-o’s distant cousin, Red Rat! The video for "Kama Sutra" currently has over 6 million views on YouTube! Mixing elements of funk, soul, reggae and rock with heavy doses of street battle raps and conscious-minded lyricism, See No Evil, Hear No Evil cemented Dan-e-o’s reputation as a member of the world’s most elite MCs.
In 2005, Dan-e-o dropped the sequel, Speak No Evil - a CD of exclusive brand new cuts and remixes including "358", "Kama Sutra (Reblaze!)" and "Chocolate Love". He then went on to begin developing a budding acting career by placing a number of commercials and short films under his belt.
In 2006, Dan-e-o founded "The School of Rap", a hip-hop songwriting program that he teaches to youth throughout Toronto, and Tha O Show, a website and weekly internet radio program dedicated to pro wrestling, mixed martial arts and "locker room" talk. That summer, Monolith dropped its first collaborative mixtape, Welcome To Scarborough.
Dan-e-o's greatest hits mixtape entitled DJ Law presents The Art of Lyricism: Dan-e-o's Finest dropped in 2007 containing 30 incredible cuts, including "Dear Hip Hop 2007" featuring DL Incognito. He followed that up in 2008 with his first-ever DVD release entitled 10 The Music Videos. Showcasing everything from the classic "Dear Hip Hop" to the YouTube sensation "Kama Sutra", the DVD contains all ten music videos (including those from Monolith) made during Dan-e-o's career thus far.
In 2009, Dan-e-o and Tha O Show dropped OBLIVION! Tha Indy Wrestling Album, a collection of all original entrance themes for professional wrestlers featuring an incredible fusion of rock and hip-hop. The album also features performances by Secret Surburbia's T.J. Habibi, Chemist, Summer Brockwell and Tika Simone.

I know that you're busy as hell, but I wanted you to peep somethin for me. You prob get this a lot, but Stevie said it's best that I myspace you the info so that you'd get it faster.
I did the Superfriends Show on AngryMarks and featured three up and coming hip hop artists. Nobody knows more about the game than Dan-E-O. I wanted to know if it was cool if you peeped the show and if there was anything you can do for them, whether it be give them the number of some producers, or any advice - to let me know. Specially for Headcase - needs beats BADLY! It'd be MUCH appreciated.

What's goin' on Dan-E-O? If I could have just one wish, it would be to wake up to your songs in the morning. Your eyes show as many deep and full shades of fire as a thousand supernovas. Your wonderfully bright soul keep the demons from torturing me. You turn the atmosphere ablaze with currents of sweet ethylene when you smile. The music that flows from your instruments overwhelms me with creativity. The elves that play in the toasters wash their drum sticks in honey and sing strikingly colored anthems in perfect harmonious pleasure. Your sweet voice is like the application of aloe vera upon a sunburnt back. I find your eyes to be a wondrous amusement park filled with neo-plastic pleasures and turkish delights. Please let me hear more of that wonderful sound. How beautiful is the snowshine in your eyes, so directly current from the static in your mind. You have not yet reached the height of your creativity. Wood nymphs sprinkle your path with rose petals while you dance and prowl in the sequined moonlight with leftover cupcake sprinkles.
