People (observing them, understanding them or at least trying to),spirituality and religion, acting, movies, music, books, anything artistic, etc. I'm not much of a writer but sometimes I am inspired to just spill my thoughts out on to paper. I am also interested in writing characters for black women that you wouldn't normally think of for us to play. I know its not the typical thing for women to enjoy, but I love guns! I do. One of my brothers took me shooting once and I loved it!!! It was my first time, but he said that I am a really good shot. ;)I shot a Glock .10, .45 Sig Sauer and an Ithaca 12-gauge. (WOW)
Music
All kinds. Anything that makes me feel good or anything that sounds original and can inspire me. Mainly gospel and R&B. But I love jazz (Nina Simone) hip-hop, rock, pop, classical, counrty, instrumental, etc. There is something that I love about every kind of music. Nina Simone, Billy Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Sara Vaughn, Dinah Washington, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Rachelle Farrell, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Koko Taylor, Kim Burrell, Karen Clark, Yolanda Adams, Vanesse Bell Armstrong, Edward Buckley & Unity In Spirit, India.Arie, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, PRINCE, Ledisi, Lauryn Hill, Rarestone, Talib Kweli, Kanye West, Dwele, Musiq, Beyonce, Aaliyah, Mary J. Blige, Faith, Kelly Price, Usher, Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke, Maroon 5, No Doubt, etc.
Movies
Again anything that can inspire me. I can go from Color Purple to Chicago to Vanilla Sky to Monsters Ball without missing a beat. Being an actor myself, I love to watch different stories unfold and be able to immerse myself in them.
Television
I grew up on Oprah, The Cosby Show, A Different World, Saved By The Bell, Good Times, Amen, Designing Women and Married With Children. Now-I have to admit I love America's Next Top Model(yes it's my guilty pleasure).
Books
I love to read because it teaches you to expand your imagination-something that tv and film can't always do. I started out reading teenage mystery novels and the older I got I found myself reading more and more African-American novels. Maya Angelou, James Baldwin, J. California Cooper, Sista Soulja, etc. Lately I'm reading a lot of books on the craft of acting and the business of being a professinal actor.

Like a prime number, I can only be broken down and divided by myself. I'm a child of God, lover of life, and people from all different walks of life. Worldly men cramp my stlye and psychos need not apply. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. And I will constantly be adding to and changing this. You've been warned. (wink)I am an actor which basically means there are many sides to me. Its the only thing I've always wanted to do. Yes I am finally a PROFESSIONAL ACTOR-which means I do get paid! :)-and am SAG Eligible. Not quite official yet, but I'm working on it). God has been soooooooooo good to me I just can't tell it all! Get to know me and you'll never get bored. I loooooooove to laugh, probably more than most people. I like discovering what makes people tick. OH! By the way, I have a CRAZY father, two older brothers and a host of uncles and cousins, all of whom are insane and trigger happy. Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who can make me laugh. Anyone who can challange me. Anyone who loves acting and movies as much as me. I could talk acting and movies all day. People who enjoy reading. People who are constantly striving to learn and better themselves all around. People who are trying to make some difference that they've lived at all.
