Born Marco Dane Paschal, in 1980 to a FBI father & a herion- addicted mother. Danewon became a true emcee at the age of 6, freestyling for his uncle, Mottio's birthday. At the time, he lived in Chicago, Illinois. Living multiple places with his Grandparents, Sisters & Brother. In 1991, he moved to San Francisco, California, when his mother was released from prison from 88-91. He moved with his Mother & Brother, Chris
Taken in by his brother's father, Charles Harrod (R.I.P) Danewon looked to comic books to feed his imagination. Fictional worlds of Green Lantern & Silver Surfer mesh well with his rhymes of being a supreme lyrical being.
1992: Danewon moves to San Jose, and starts school at Peter Burnett Middle School. One day, he decides to perform a song on a busy, Friday day at lunch. He goes to Lincoln High School, just to go to have year with his brother. Then after Lincoln, It's Oak Grove, From there he moves to Iowa to continue school there. In the midst of him returning to California, he recieves some bad news: His Grandfather passes away.
"He was my biggest insperation, still is!!"
May 8th, 1998. Danewon gets in a fatal accident, by getting thrown from the back of a pick up truck on to Highway 17, 497 feet in the air; over all 5 lanes, in which he breaks his neck, left arm & shatters left kneecap. He clinically dies for 4-7 minutes. Determination fuels him into learning to write again & walk again.
"It was my faith in God & my future that, fueled me. I had to fight for my life."
In that recouperating time, he pens his Hybrid EP. Between that time, he has a child. And starts his own record label in 99. And still going strong, in the future, prepare to hear from him for years to come!!
