Danfords Hotel & Marina (formerly Danfords on the Sound) was established in 1986 as an inn, conference center, marina, restaurant, and catering facility. The facility incorporated existing structures on the west end of the property, dating back to 1870, that once housed a blacksmith shop, boxing emporium, social club, ice cream parlor, painter’s studio and gift shop before the Hurricane of ’38 demolished the original foundation. Westport Capital Partners LLC of Westport, Connecticut acquired ownership in December 2006.

The 75-slip marina, which may accommodate boats up to 280-feet long, provides a picturesque and comfortable environment. Getting There
From points east and west: Take 495 (Long Island Expressway) to Exit 62 North (County Road 97/Nichols Road). Follow CR 97 North, 8 miles to the end – passing SUNY Stony Brook. Bear right at the railroad bridge onto Route 25A East. Drive through Setauket, then into Port Jefferson. Danfords Hotel & Marina is on the left next to the ferry.
