Dangerous Dolly and Friends at Rockabaret
Who or what is this Dangerous Dolly?
She is a creator, geek, intense and charming character; the ability to make the seemingly impossible a true reality. A dreamer, a doer, once described as a renaissance woman!
She employs chameleon skills to create several different performance personas. From cheeky burlesque to twisted and dark aerial creatures, Dangerous Dolly uses her imagination to push her performances too places that few would dare. But her imagination doesn’t just stop at the performance, DD is instrumental in designing and making some the stunning outfits she wears on stage.
Her abilities have not gone unnoticed by some of the big names and she was chosen to perform for a video for the Kings of Leon. It’s not everyday you can watch yourself displayed 25’ tall above a band upon huge video screens in front of several thousand people!
With her business hat on she can make all manner of exciting things happen and has produced and directed and worked on many collaborative events including fashions shows, club events and large scale festival performance. She wants to make the ultimate a reality – not just a dream. Able to take an outline of an idea and work through every little detail until the egg may hatch!
An instructor since 2002 this lady has the skill of tailoring her teaching style to each student understanding what it means to have a desire to learn something new but the frustrations of beginning at the beginning. She has taught students from the ages of 5 – 65 and with a variety of disabilities.
An ever inquisitive mind; photographing with an SLR since she was just 10 she had in true DD style delved deeper and holds an unusual degree in scientific photography. It was mentioned she was a geek wasn’t it? But a geek with beauty, skill and the drive to create.
