Dan Glenn is a Boston-based singer/songwriter. After growing up playing the saxophone, Dan made the switch to acoustic guitar at the age of 18. He was mesmerized by the songwriting and the live energy of the Dave Matthews Band, and wanted to channel his ever-present passion for music into lyrical songwriting. He became a live music junkie and tried to get to as many shows as he could, and over time his musical horizons expanded and he now lists a wide range of influences including Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Ben Harper, Ellis Paul, and Martin Sexton. Dan just released his debut album, Burning For Music. While clearly influenced by many of the artists mentioned above, Dan has cultivated a unique style all his own; some describe it as "Dave Matthews meets The Buddha". It is evident, when listening to Dan's music, that what comes through most is his love of life and blazing passion for wakefulness. Through his thoughtful, reflective lyrics and melodic guitar playing and vocals, he puts forth a tremendous appreciation of beauty and the human experience, in all its resounding joy and heartbreaking sadness.

mr. glenn, it seems that you are well due for an adventure to the west coast. other options include moving to the east bay or cloning yourself and giving one of you to california. the palm trees are lonely for your optimism.

Brotha D. Can we hang out in Boston next weekend? I'm back for a bit. I have a long weekend this weekend, but I'm chillin' at home. Perhaps we could get together and play some tunes? Talk soon.
Oh, and Randy and Reegs sent me their birthday. How sweet. Sadly when I sent them an ecard on their birthday the email came back unrecognized? Ah, we seem to have lost touch over the years.
I'm playing a show this Sunday night with my good friends Shawn and Sierra. We'll be playing in the round, and we're doing some fun cover tunes. It's at the All Asia cafe at 334 Mass Ave, between Central and MIT, with a $5 cover. I'd love to see you there!
Also, I did a photoshoot recently in an abandoned mental institution with my friend Jason baker of massasylums.com Check out the pics!
hey there Dan, haven't talked to you in ages but I wanted to drop you a line and say how pleased I am to see that you list martin sexton as one of your influences. He's recently become a favorite of mine. Drop me a line and let me know how life's been treating you, take care!
Ha ha, so can I sing the Dr Who themesong. Let me ask the obvious question: did you hide behind the sofa when the daleks came out?
Lol. I thought the new series was gonna be uber-lame, but it was actually really good, and it stayed true to the old stuff.
Happy to find another Whovian,
Alex
