"Pure talent! Life is somehow brighter and more joyous after an evening spent with Amitie. Their passionate blend of sounds melts stress like warm sunshine on a Mediterranean beach." (Christy of Kirkland).
French native song writer/ vocalist/ guitarist, Danick Isabelle teams up with 3 incredibly talented and soulful musicians: Accordionist John Sanders, upright bassist, Stephen Kennedy and guitarist Jonny Akamu. Together they create a unique blend of romantic and inspiring French/American love songs. You will hum along with timeless French classics like "La Vie en Rose", "La Mer (Beyond the Sea), "Ne Me Quitte pas (If You go Away)". You will discover Danick's own compositions written in French and in English as well as a beautiful but less known repertoire from great French artists like Francis Cabrel, Maxime le Forestier, France Gall and more.
Lyrics are in French and English which makes this repertoire ideal for French speaking audiences or lovers of the French culture. The music however will take you around the world (tango, bossa nova, flamenco, folk, jazz and more...) to reflect Danick's long time love for beautiful melodies, rhythms that swing and music that connects all human hearts.
Danick also performs as a vocalist, song writer and guitarist for ANCIENT SOUNDS, an inspirational world music ensemble that features ancient instruments like flutes and didgeridoo blended with guitars, synths, piano, vocals and percussion. WWW.ANCIENTSOUNDS.ORG
Hey there sweet lady! It was my utmost joy to have played music with you! I am glad to see you are still singing and creating. I could only hope that you take the time to hear some of what I am doing currently. So come see me play this weekend if you get the chance (check my calendar) Or hopefully I'll see you out there soon enough.
Ha!!! First comment??!!??!!
Is Ashrof playing the Mandolin Cafe gig? I heard he was moving, but I haven't talked to him in a while. I may be playing there with Micheal O'Neille on the 29th.
